10 Union County High Schools Make Newsweek’s Short List
Newsweek Magazine published its 2000 best high schools in the nation this week and ten Union County schools made the list!
The criteria for assessing schools were graduation rate, college acceptance rate, AP/IB/AICE tests taken per student, average SAT/ACT scores, average AP/IB/AICE scores, and percent of students enrolled in at least one AP/IB/AICE course.
Union County Magnet High School for Science, Mathematics, and Technology ranked at number 65 in the nation.
Union County Academy for Allied Health Sciences ranked at number 202 in the nation.
Cranford High School ranked at 206 in the nation.
Westfield High School ranked at number 356.
Summit High School ranked number 461.
Academy for Information Technology was 468.
Jonathan Dayton High School in Springfield ranked at number 716.
Arthur L. Johnson High School in Clark ranked at number 898.
Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School ranked at number 918.
Union County Academy for Performing Arts in Scotch Plains ranked at number 962.
