Home Sweet Home - Children's nature programs at Trailside - May 27- 31

Trailside Nature and Science Center at 452 New Providence Road in Mountainside offers hikes, stories, and activities for toddlers, 2 and 3 year olds, and 4-6 year olds every week.  The cost is $10 per Union County family, $12 for out of county families.

2-3 year olds are welcome on Thursdays and Fridays at 9:30 am.

3-4 year olds are wlecome on Tuesday at 1:30 pm and Wednesday at 10am.

4-6 year olds are welcome on Tuesdays at 9:45 am and 3:30 pm and on Wednesdays at 1:15 pm.

Preschoolers are welcome to Trailside on May 30 and 31 to go on a nature walk and look for animals and their homes. The program, called "Knock Knock," will show children the different types of animal homes. Make a craft to take home. Older children will learn about habitats and explore forest, meadow, lawn, and stream habitats.

Families are encouraged to register by phone at (908) 789-3670.
