In its quarterly report, Fannie Mae reported that 73% of surveyed people believe that this is a good time to buy. 48% of respondents reported that they believe that rental prices will go up, and on average they expect rental prices to go up by 4.1%.
This is the highest level of consumer confidence in over a year, reports Keeping Current Matters.
It's becoming more and more obvious that buying a home is a better financial decision than renting. 84% of the general population believes that buying a home makes more sense than renting one.
Is buying a better emotional decision, also? We think so - owning your own home provides security and stability that renting can't provide. Home ownership allows you control over your living space that renting doesn't offer.
