Union County Homes

2/12 - Happy Birthday Honest Abe

Abraham Lincoln had this to say about real estate: "Property is the fruit of labor...property is desirable...is a positive good in the world. That some should be rich shows that others may become rich, and hence is just encouragement to industry and enterprise. Let not him who is houseless pull down the house of another; but let him labor diligently and build one for himself, thus by example assuring that his own shall be safe from violence when built."

And isn't it true that home ownership is a positive force in the world? People who own homes are more likely to take an interest in the greater good of the community. Real estate professionals help make that happen.

And yet, before I say too much, let me end with another Lincoln quote: "Tis better to be silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt.
