This Sunday, November 6th at 2am, you'll need to set your clock back one hour as Daylight Savings Time comes to an end and we resume Standard Time. So, before going to bed Saturday, remember to set those clocks back an hour (your computers and phones should do so automatically) and enjoy the "extra" hour of sleep that you'll be getting.
Daylight Savings Time was officially adopted in the United States in 1918. Only 2 states, Indiana and Arizona (except Navajo Nation lands) do not use Daylight Savings Time. There are several arguments for DST, in particular, energy savings and not having children go to school in the dark, are two strong arguments. As stated above, 2 states felt it was not necessary and did not adopt it, but in the rest of the country, it is the norm.
So now, for the next 6 months, we revert back to Standard Time. So enjoy the extra sleep Sunday morning!

Argh!!!! I am not looking forward to dark nights at 5pm. I think I will join Anna Banana Kruchten and live in Arizona!
One hour less of daylight to get work and showings done!
Looking forward to this for once in my life --- night time hiking is nice around here, and that extra hour of sleep is needed
Gaining that hour of sleep is not enough for losing that extra hour of daylight
I can sure use an extra hour of sleep! We just got back from a vacation visiting family in Texas. I've still got jet lag 2 days later!

The clock has been set back . . . . and I had an extra hour of sleep.
Good luck and success.

There are two days I totally hate in the year.... Falling back and Springing forward...it takes me so many days to get the body clock adjusted....not to mention it messes up our animal kingdom too, Endre
I have to do so in my car and also on my clock radio.
or don't set them back like Robert Vegas Bob Swetz and just be an hour early to everything!
I really enjoyed my extra hour and hope you did too. Being at the NAR Conference means long days and nonstop activities.
